Responsibilities

Helps drive revenue to Division National Accounts through management of assigned customers and explores new opportunities. Develops and implements programs with assigned customers and works with locations to determine pricing/margin. Responsible for sales negotiation, product pricing of assigned major suppliers, and service of national accounts. Provides back up for national account managers; assist national account managers and division product managers in sales presentations and negotiations; may assist account managers in preparing proactive promotions for their accounts. Monitor progress on account manager key initiatives; assist in communicating account change information to branches; facilitate, coordinate, and/or handle pricing quotes from national customers; inside sales contact where a central point of contact is beneficial to customer and BMD; handle and/or direct customer inquiries to the correct branch/sales team in BMD; prepare and maintain multi-branch pricing where required or helpful to accounts; make product offerings to customers where there is an opportunity.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications: College Degree or equivalent work experience in related job function. Working conditions are in a normal office environment with moderate physical exertion. May be required to work in addition to normal business hours for cycle counts, promotions, and business travel. Must be able to safely drive to customer location and physically place product displays.

Preferred Qualifications: Prefer degree in business/wood products with concentration in sales and marketing. Strong background in lumber and building products a plus. Typically more than seven (7) years of experience in related job function; three of more years experience in the building materials industry with a knowledge of Boise Cascade BMD branch operations preferred.
