Job Summary

Provides strategic direction of diverse facilities operational groups leading a team of managers who oversees custodial services, grounds, facility maintenance, woodshop and project management. Focuses on the maintenance, renovation, and compliance of existing facilities, while also overseeing the budgeting and execution of facility-related projects. Ensures all responsibilities are carried out in compliance with applicable regulations and procedures and all work remains within budgetary guidelines.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:



  • Oversee all aspects and activities of any assigned construction and remodel projects within the JAC facilities.
  • Responsible for the overall leadership, direction and evaluation of employees. Provide leadership to the Facilities Management team to ensure there is efficient and effective processes in place to provide maintenance and upkeep to all Retail, Manufacturing and Corporate field locations.
  • Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate and direct the department, programs and activities of Facilities Maintenance, Project Management and Woodshop. Utilize and leverage various management software systems to track work orders and projects.
  • Develop and maintain appropriate KPI/Dashboard measures to ensure timely project completion and facility maintenance event closure.
  • Provide short and long-term strategic planning regarding project directives and overall management of all responsible areas.
  • Develop cohesive cross-functional partnerships and collaborate with internal and external partners.
  • Oversee development and management of all operating budgets for Facilities Maintenance, Project Management and Woodshop. Collaborate with leadership on budgeting for facilities' needs and provide recommendations for purchases of new equipment, tools and improvements.
  • Implement guidelines and best practices to manage oversight of all work and budgets performed by the teams.
  • Prepare facilities for changing weather conditions and respond to locations when extreme weather is imminent with collaboration with other departments.
  • Ensure proper planning, direction, participation, and supervision of both preventative and unplanned maintenance and repair activities in all facilities, stores and field locations.
  • Develop a team striving to excel in managing each construction or facilities management project with the greatest attention to detail and care for safety, budget and deadlines.
  • Ensure Facilities, Project Management and Woodshop teams have all essential resources and tools to fulfill work functions to include proper training on safety policies and procedures.
  • Support and observe all safety regulations and company policies; participate in safety training; report all potential unsafe conditions to the appropriate company personnel.


WHAT IS REQUIRED:



  • Bachelor's Degree in Facilities Management, Construction Management, Business Administration or related field; or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • 7 years' demonstrated experience in facilities operations and maintenance/management.
  • 3 years' managerial or supervisory experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate technical objectives and strategies effectively to all audiences.
  • Ability to develop and maintain business relationships with the various departments and Facilities staff.
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking ability with effective project management skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Knowledge with computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) and/or enterprise asset management (EAM) software.
  • Ability to travel to various work locations as business need requires.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Facilities operations and maintenance management experience in a manufacturing or retail environment.
  • Proficiency with Smartsheet or comparable project management software.
  • Experience with MicroMain or similar software.
