We have a contract opportunity for a Manufacturing Tech in Durham. This position has a possibility of being hired direct by the customer.

Schedule:
2-2-3 Shift
Day Shift 7:00am to 7:30pm
Night Shift 7:00pm to 7:30am
Overtime likely available

Day Shift Rate: $16.50/Hr
Night Shift Rate: $18.98/Hr

Summary:
Responsible for the operation of high-speed equipment used in the production of BacT/ALERT bottles and/or preparation, staging, weighing of raw materials used for the formulation of the liquid reagents that fill the finished bottle in a cGMP compliant manner.

Responsibilities:


  • Setup, inspection, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and cleaning of equipment.
  • Staging and preparing raw materials used for Media Formulation
  • Responsible for completing production batches and documentation.
  • Manufacturing & Packaging: Operate high speed manufacturing equipment.
  • Filling: Chemical weighing and reagent formulation
  • Ensure that all batch paperwork is completed in an accurate, thorough, and timely manner.
  • Perform and document all processes and procedures in a timely manner, while maintaining compliance with all company and regulatory agency regulations
  • Provide assistance with the review and revision of Manufacturing Directions and SOPs.



Requirements:
  • 0-1 years in a regulated production/operations environment
  • Basic Computer application experience.
  • Ability to work overtime as required to support a 24/7 production operation.
  • Wear PPE which including, hairnet, beard cover, safety glasses, safety shoes, hearing protection, gloves, PAPRs, face mask and lab coats.
  • Ability to operate motorized pallet jacks.
  • Able to learn in the operation of equipment within a 75-days of working with a trainer.
  • Climb stairs, routinely lift 50-75 lbs., and stand for extended periods of time for 8-12 hours.
  • Handle of chemicals, antibiotics and/or hazardous materials using protective equipment
  • May be exposed to strong odors incurred during media production or other operations.
  • Make-up and jewelry are prohibited in certain areas of Manufacturing.


A plus but not necessary:
  • Experience in weighing/Staging of raw materials used in large scale production a plus.
  • Certification in BioWork Program a plus (not necessary)
  • Background in Bulking and/or compounding in food, supplement, cosmetic, medical device, or pharmaceutical chemical formulation a plus.
  • Familiarity with measurement scales, mixing, blending, chemical mills, and other formulation manufacturing equipment a plus.
  • Knowledge of FDA and/or GMP regulations a plus.



Education:

High School Diploma or GED

Estimated Min Rate: $16.50
Estimated Max Rate: $16.50
