As a casual employee, you will work on an as-needed basis without a guaranteed minimum number of hours. Your employment is non-exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), and you will be compensated on an hourly basis for all hours worked, including overtime as applicable under federal, state, or local law. Scheduling and shifts may vary depending on the needs of the employer, and either party may terminate this arrangement at any time, with or without cause or notice. Summary: We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead and manage mining study projects, ensuring successful execution in alignment with client objectives and Worley's standards. This role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and technical expertise to deliver value in early-phase project development. You will oversee project scope, schedule, budget, and execution while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and company policies. Purpose: To lead complex and high-impact mining projects, ranging from small to medium-sized studies to portions of large-scale projects. The Senior Project Manager will drive project success by applying industry expertise, strategic insights, and effective stakeholder management. This role also supports business growth by enhancing study management capabilities and participating in proposal development. Responsibilities: Project Leadership:
- Define and oversee project scope, objectives, schedules, and budgets.
- Govern complex mining studies, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Provide leadership and direction to multidisciplinary teams across various locations.
Health & Safety:
- Lead and promote a culture of safety within project teams.
- Ensure all health and safety measures, including Safety by Design and Constructability, are fully integrated into project execution.
Technical Oversight:
- Oversee all technical aspects of projects, including engineering, procurement, and quality control.
- Ensure high-quality study deliverables and adherence to design and regulatory requirements.
Financial Management:
- Track and forecast costs, manage budgets, and implement cost control measures.
- Analyze financial performance and reporting to optimize project outcomes.
Execution Planning & Performance:
- Develop and review Project Execution Plans, ensuring alignment with client goals.
- Monitor project progress, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement.
Customer & Stakeholder Management:
- Build strong, transparent relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Communicate project progress, challenges, and key decisions effectively.
Risk & Opportunity Management:
- Identify, mitigate, and manage project risks.
- Maintain an updated risk register and develop contingency plans to address emerging risks.
Key Competencies:

- Leadership: Successfully manages multidisciplinary, multicultural teams on medium to large-scale projects.
- Technical Expertise: Strong background in project execution, with experience in front-end studies, engineering, procurement, and site support.
- Financial Acumen: Oversees project financials, including cost control, forecasting, and managing accounts receivable.
- Execution Planning: Develops and implements execution strategies, incorporating value creation and sustainability.
- Communication & Networking: Leads proposals, facilitates effective communication, and resolves project challenges.
- Customer & Stakeholder Management: Understands customer KPIs and builds trust-based relationships.
- Risk Management: Proactively identifies and mitigates risks, ensuring project success.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Mining Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management (specialized in Engineering or Mining)) or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 10+ years of experience in project management, supervision, or technical leadership within the mining industry.
- Strong background in mining projects, including base metals, precious metals, and energy transition metals.
- Proven expertise in Front End Studies & Advisory, Concept/Select, Consulting, Pre-Feasibility Studies (PFS), and Feasibility Studies (FS).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with NI 43-101 and SK-1300 reporting.
- Advanced degree or certification in project management or engineering.
- Professional registration in the local jurisdiction.
- Certification as a Program Management Professional (IPMA, APM, PMI, or AIPM).
- Fluency in Spanish.
- Mining regulatory/MSHA certification and experience.
- Experience with Workshare and EP Projects.
