Summer Camp Counselor - Plaistow YMCA

Are you ready for a summer of adventure, fun, and making a difference in children's lives? The Plaistow YMCA is looking for enthusiastic and energetic Summer Camp Counselors to join our team!

At Plaistow Y Summer Camp, we provide kids an exciting and engaging experience, offering activities such as sports, gymnastics, archery, and more! We have two camp groups based on age:

Junior Camp (Ages 5-6)

Senior Camp (Ages 7-10)

As a Summer Camp Counselor, you will:

Lead and supervise campers in fun and engaging activities

Foster a safe, positive, and inclusive camp environment

Encourage teamwork, sportsmanship, and confidence in youth

Assist with sports, gymnastics, archery, and other daily programs

Serve as a role model, promoting the Y's values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility

Camp runs Monday through Friday

Seasonal summer position June 16th, 2025 - August 29th, 2025

Passion for working with children and creating a memorable summer experience

Experience working with youth in camp, sports, or educational settings preferred

Ability to lead activities and ensure camper safety

Strong teamwork and communication skills

Gain valuable leadership and youth development experience

Build lifelong friendships and make a meaningful impact

• Camp Counselors must be a minimum of 16 years of age
• Preferred work schedule is Monday-Friday (5 days) throughout the camp season 8:00-5:00
• Must have reliable transportation to ensure the ability to commute to and arrive at camp on time daily
• Mandatory Spring training will be required - save the date of June 7th, 2025
