Role Summary

In this position you will support the durability verification and validation team in vehicle and component testing along with road load data collection. You will collaborate with the other parts of the durability group along with chassis, dynamics, and program teams to confirm test setups are correct and to report any opportunities. Your experience in program management, fatigue, block cycle testing, data analysis, and 329 rig testing will ensure success. This position offers an
opportunity to contribute directly to Rivian's mission by ensuring structurally durable vehicles for our customers. With your experience and proactive mindset, you'll play a vital role in ensuring an outstanding future for sustainable mobility.


Responsibilities

  • Support durability testing and data collection.
  • Set up and operate component testing and vehicle rig testing.
  • Data analysis tasks to identify trends and anomalies.
  • Prepare test reports and presentations.
  • Manage multiple testing and data collection projects

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, materials engineering, or a related field
* 2+ years of durability testing and data collection experience preferred
* Experience with vehicle instrumentation, data collection and processing
* Ability to conduct component and system testing adhering to test specifications
* Understanding of accelerated fatigue testing
* Experience with drive file development and MTS 329 rig testing preferred
* Experience with performing analysis with nCode or similar programs to perform loads
calculations for body, chassis, propulsion, and suspension systems and components
* Experience with Parametric CAD, Catia preferred
* Experience with MATLAB/Simulink, Python, or other programming languages is a plus.
* Proven track record of problem-solving and independent root cause analysis
* Exceptional communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills.
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and manage competing
priorities.
* Passion for Rivian's mission and a commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive

* Regular local travel up to testing suppliers and the proving grounds.
