Seeking a Cloud Developer Consultant

Responsibilities:
- Develop solid and supportable modular designs for data streaming, Cloud transformation/migration, and API product development in support of critical applications
- Develop data APIs and data delivery services that support operational and analytical applications for the client's internal business operations, customers and partners
- Creation and support of data-centric products that encompass multiple specializations, platforms, and technologies
- Analyze technical information and produce quality software
- Initiate collaboration with teammates
- Offer creative solutions to overcome obstacles
- Work within automated testing and CICD processes
- Be an expert on the products we built
- Document solutions in written and diagram form, and communicate across teams
- Leverage developer coding standards to ensure it meets design goals and business needs
- Identify technical issues, articulate impact and need for prioritization
- Proactive communication to both team and leadership
- Work collaboratively with vendor(s)
Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Systems or any equivalent combination of experience, education, and/or training in the computer systems development field
- High level of skill in NodeJS, Typescript
- High level of skill in building secure Nodejs lambdas across active-active AWS multi region in AWS
- High level of skill in AWS CDK
- Experience with CloudWatch dashboards and alarms
- Experience with Test Driven Development
- Experience with building SLAs SLOs for monitoring requirements
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with all levels of employees and management, capable of successful formal and informal communication, speaks and writes clearly and understandably for the audience
- Widely trusted, being seen as a direct, truthful individual, can present the unvarnished truth in an appropriate and helpful manner, keeps confidences, admits mistakes, and doesn't misrepresent him/herself for personal gain
- Work well in a collaborative setting, supporting work team by volunteering for and completing assignments, acting as a positive team member by contributing to discussions, developing and maintaining both formal and informal relationships enterprise-wide, defines success in terms of the entire team through mentoring and knowledge transfer
- Demonstrate a commitment to increasing knowledge and skills in current technical/functional area, keeping up to date on technical developments, staying informed as to industry practices, knowing how to apply relevant technical processes to appropriate business needs
- Maintains a positive attitude oriented towards coming up with solutions and developing new approaches, doesn't let distractions get in the way, isn't overwhelmed with problems/ issues
- Good verbal and Written communication skills
- Experience working with multiple disparate systems
- Experience in Cloud Technologies (AWS / Azure / Google) (AWS is preferred)
- Proficiency with Python, Java, shell scripting (Bash and PowerShell) & SQL
- Experience working with streaming data and data extraction from different databases (Oracle, DB2, MySQL etc.)
- Experienced with deploying and managing infrastructures based on Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift
- Understanding of data engineering, real time streaming and/or eventing, and Json parsing
- Experience with automating application deployment, continuous delivery, and continuous integration (Jenkins, Ansible etc.)
- Experience building micro services and API architecture
- Debugging & troubleshooting skills
- Flexible and have a passion to learn and collaborate with colleagues
- Embraces diverse people, thinking and styles
- Consistently makes safety and security, of self and others, the priority
Desired skills:
- Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Airline Industry experience
- Experience with scalable data extraction tools
- Experience working with Kafka, Aurora, AWS Glue, Redshift
- Business Intelligence/Analytics experience
