July 1, 2025 Application Window Open date: September 20, 2024 Most recent review date: Friday, Nov 15, 2024 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Final date: Monday, Jun 30, 2025 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Position description The Department of Molecular, Cell, and Systems Biology (MCSB) in the College of Natural and Agricultural Sciences at the University of California, Riverside invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position that is intended to start on July 1, 2025. We seek innovative, early-career scientists pushing the boundaries in any area of cell/molecular/developmental biology. The successful candidate will be expected to develop an internationally recognized, extramurally funded research program at the intersection of molecular, cellular and systems biology, and employ novel approaches and cutting-edge technologies to address fundamental questions in the life sciences. The position also entails a commitment to excellence in teaching and mentoring at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. The department values candidates who can contribute to its collaborative, multidisciplinary research environment and who demonstrate a dedication to fostering diversity in STEM fields. We offer a vibrant and supportive environment for the development of independent research programs. Resources available to faculty include state-of-the-art research facilities, comprehensive core services, including modern core facilities for bioinformatics, genomics, proteomics/metabolomics, and microscopy, a high-performance computing cluster, animal facilities and opportunities for interdisciplinary collaborations across the University of California system. The UC salary consists of a base pay of $78,200 to $101,400 for Assistant Professors and additional off-scale to be commensurate with market value, qualifications and experience. The off-scale portion of the salary will be maintained as long as satisfactory academic progress is made.
