North Highland is actively seeking a Proposal Manager to join our Strategic Proposal Team. In this role, you'll play a crucial part in leading proposal development efforts across diverse global teams and supporting commercial industries throughout the United States. As a full-time team member, you'll collaborate closely with Subject Matter Experts and Corporate Executives to create impactful proposals utilizing a combination of traditional best practice and AI innovations. The position offers a unique blend of working both in-office and remotely, providing an exciting opportunity to contribute to North Highland's success.

You'll be working alongside other changemakers in our firm to elevate brand awareness and engagement through our owned social channels, integrated campaign support, and employee advocacy programs.

YOU WILL:

Lead the proposal development process from start to finish, verify all client requirements are met, collaborate with cross-functional teams to craft quality proposal submissions, manage timelines and resources effectively, and ensure final submissions are compelling, compliant, and delivered on time. This should include but not be limited to:




  • Organizing and Directing Proposal Efforts: Lead the proposal process from the initial decision to pursue an opportunity through to the final delivery of the proposal.



  • RFP Analysis and Proposal Structuring: Analyze the Request for Proposal (RFP) and other client documents, develop proposal outlines, establish compliance guidelines, and manage team content assignments.



  • Compliance Management: Ensure all document and portal requirements are met, resolve any conflicts within the RFP, and interpret RFP language as needed.



  • Strategic Collaboration: Work with business development and sales teams to lead development of proposal response strategies, identify key differentiators, and facilitate the creation of winning themes.



  • Team Leadership: Lead a proposal team, assign tasks and responsibilities, and ensure all team members understand their roles in the proposal process.



  • Content Oversight: Oversee the development of proposal content to ensure it is compelling, accurate, and aligns with the client's needs.



  • Writing and Editing: Write and edit sections of the proposal as necessary, ensuring clarity and consistency throughout the document.



  • Progress Monitoring: Establish routine cadence calls to monitor progress and make necessary adjustments to meet deadlines.



  • Proposal Review Management: Schedule, prep for, and organize proposal reviews, and facilitate the proposal review process.



  • Production and Delivery Coordination: Coordinate production and delivery plans to meet client requirements and ensure timely final proposal delivery.

DESIRED SKILLS:




  • Presentation / orals coaching experience.



  • Eye for visual / graphics design layouts or proposal graphics best practice.



  • Experience utilizing AI techniques for proposal enhancement.



  • Growth mindset to continue improving yourself, the team, and the broader firm.




EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:




  • Education: Bachelor's degree in business, English, Marketing, or related field (or four years+ proposal experience in lieu of degree).



  • Training / Certifications: Certified APMP, Shipley, or related proposal training highly desired.



  • Years' experience: Minimum two to four years' proposal management experience, preferably in the commercial space.

Communication - provides clear messaging through emails, NH Weekly updates, power point presentations, etc. to inform and influence the business.

Cultural Awareness - demonstrates and utilizes an awareness of our culture and how data impacts, informs, and influences our culture.
