JOB PURPOSE The Loadout Crew Leader is responsible for leading the animal movement team to ensure that all Seaboard Foods' standard operating procedures for loadout, animal handling, biosecurity and safety are always followed by all team members. RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS Establish leadership of your team by communicating objectives, training, scheduling, and resolving conflicts. Provide relevant feedback to management regarding your team members to identify opportunities for growth and development. Ensure that all documentation for every load is accurate, legible and complete. Review all hourly payroll calculations, if applicable. Assist with scheduling and completion of safety training requirements. REQUIREMENTS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty/function satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the work environment, knowledge, skills, and/or ability required or preferred. High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. A clear and valid driver's license and clean motor vehicle record (MVR) required. Bilingual, Spanish and English preferred but not necessary. PHYSICAL DEMANDS The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, occasionally lift up to 100 pounds and sometimes push/and or move up to 300 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. WORK ENVIRONMENT While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and is commonly exposed to airborne particles and gases at low concentrations. The employee is frequently exposed to waste material, feed and hog dust. NORMAL WORK SCHEDULE The hours and days of work are established by departmental needs and at the discretion of management.
