Job Summary A HVAC and plumbing engineer interested in working on a diverse collection of building configurations. Under general supervision, capable of performing all aspects of conventional design engineering, analysis, and studies on new and existing structures. Key Responsibilities The Mechanical Buildings Design Group provides HVAC and plumbing solutions for ***'s Global projects. The Mechanical Engineer level 5 position is responsible for the engineering and design of the HVAC and plumbing systems in various types of facilities. The HVAC Team is engaged in the following: Design and Construction Activities o Project Delivery Methods - Traditional Design-Bid-Build and Alternative Conceptual-Bid- Build. o Facility Types - Power Generation buildings, Substations, Oil & Gas structures, Water Treatment and Energy Storage buildings. o Systems - HVAC and Plumbing. o Type of Areas - Power Generation Hall, Administrative, Warehouse, Maintenance, Workshop, Laboratory, Chemical Storage & Handling, Electrical Distribution Center, Low & Medium Voltage Switchgear, Pump Areas, Engine Generator, Blowers/Air Compressors, Waste water treatment building and Flammable & Combustible Liquids Storage. Studies o Energy Audit/Efficiency - Engineering studies, system performance reviews, and energy compliance calculations o Code Review/Application - Facility review for code compliance o Sustainable Design/LEED - Application of sustainable strategies Preferred Qualifications Self-Motivated, Problem Solving, Written Communications, Driven for Results, Quality Focused, Strong Listening Skills. Intermediate knowledge of engineering design principles and the following applicable design guides and standards related to HVAC, and plumbing system design. Including a basic knowledge of the following: International Codes Council (ICC) Suite of Codes ASHRAE Handbooks / Standards ASPE design handbooks SMACNA Standards NFPA standards Computer generated HVAC Heatloads, energy modeling and HVAC equipment sizing Technical Submittal reviewing process Bid reviewing process Microsoft Office Suite Bluebeam Revu Revit 3D Modeling. Person needs to be a LEED AP certified professional experienced in obtaining LEED's certification for industrial buildings. Extensive experience with large-scale water-cooled chillers is preferred. Minimum Qualifications Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from either a recognized accredited program in their home country or the country in which the professional is practicing. Minimum of 7 years related work experience. All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.
