Senior Software Java Developer

DSA is hiring a SECRET cleared Java Developer. This position is remote and duites include but are not limitied to:

Design, develop and execute manual and automated tests during software and system development to ensure they are operational and effective prior to release.

Work with developers and stakeholders to get an understanding of what the system is meant to do, its functionality and who the end-users are

Decompose complex or large systems into smaller parts to test

Develop and execute test plans, test cases and detailed test scripts

Uses COTS testing software and frameworks perform automated testing and reporting

Perform a variety of test types including unit, functional, security, regression, limit, integration, stress, performance and scalability

Report progress, risks and bugs identified to the software development and project management teams

Perform testing in a variety of platforms and components including networks, operating systems, applications, databases, browsers and mobile devices

Understand, follows and promotes the values and principles in the Agile Manifesto

Understand, follows and promotes continuous cyber security risk management

Requirements are:

Active Secret Clearance

A Bachelor's Degree, in Computer Science, Mathematics, or other Engineering or Technical discipline + 5 years of relevant experience all within the last 5 years.

Five (5) additional years of applicable experience with appropriate certifications/relevant experience may be substituted for the degree. (Total 10 yrs experience)

Experience providing expertise/recommendations for implementation and use of software applications and information technology system products

Experience with technologies incluging: JavaScript, Microservices (Containerization; Docker/Kubernetes), and relational SQL databases/CRUD, React.

Experience with Agile best practices

Experience supporting the United States Army

Experience developing cloud-based applications

Knowledge and ability to embrace AI; experience using AI to automate job tasks.
