Operate equipment and perform manual and inspection tasks according to established procedures. Move between areas of inspection as needed to meet the needs of the area, work off backlogs, or to cover manpower shortages. Assist other inspectors as instructed by Team Manager. Assist in troubleshooting or problem solving with experienced inspectors. All functions performed in accordance with operating procedures.

Areas for General Inspection Operator:

Rod Inspection



  • Perform detail, visual, mechanical, dimensional and instrumental inspection of materials, parts, X-ray film, sub-assemblies and complete assemblies employing repetitive and non-repetitive methods, maintaining equipment and keeping records and reports as required


Final Assembly Inspection



  • Perform detail visual, mechanical, dimensional and instrumental inspection of materials, parts, sub-assemblies and complete assemblies employing repetitive or semi-repetitive methods. Maintain and review records and reports as required.


Component Inspection



  • Perform detail visual, mechanical and dimensional inspection of materials, parts, sub-assemblies and assemblies that are repetitive in nature, using standard measuring devices.


Minimum Requirements:



  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 0-6 months of experience is required. 2 plus years of manufacturing experience is preferred
  • Ability to pass a vision test
  • Safety 1st Attitude; Ability to Read, Comprehend and Perform Procedure-Based Work; Mechanical Aptitude; Problem Solving; Attention to detail
