Summary of Job Description:

The BI Analyst is responsible for developing and maximizing the utilization of business intelligence at PRG. The BI Analyst works with end users across different functions to identify their analysis needs, develop data visualization dashboards, partner with data services to maintain the BI architecture and collaborate with data subject matter experts to meet end-user requirements.The BI analyst is also responsible for driving usage of BI tools by providing training, communication, and support.

Responsibilities

  • Researches and identifies BI needs, goals, and opportunities by partnering with end users, stakeholders, and data subject matter experts.
  • Builds comprehensive dashboards leveraging the PRG dashboard technology (PowerBI) utilizing various data sources (flat files, database servers, etc.).
  • Keeps current with BI trends to understand best practices by attending conferences and user group meetings.
  • Monitors BI content usage and data quality metrics to evaluate BI content and enhances content as needed to better meet the needs of the business.
  • Partners with leadership team, PMO, and data team to identify technology and data requirements to make analysis accessible, usable, and integrated.
  • Provides regular training, support, and communication to promote business intelligence initiatives.
  • Documents processes, models, designs, and methodologies to ensure knowledge sharing
  • and continuity.

Qualifications - External

Your background and experience:

  • Bachelor's degree required; major in Business, Technology or related field preferred
  • Minimum five years of analytical experience including two to three years of experience with data visualization tools (e.g. PowerBI, Tableau, etc.)
  • Successful completion of initial and periodically required trainings.
  • Obtaining a valid Food Handler's Card within 30 days of employment is a requirement of this position.

Pay Range: P2: $33.00 - $46.50 / Hour

* Within the range, individual pay is determined using various factors, including work location and experience.

ADA Statement:

While performing duties, counter areas are often hot with steam from steam table and food vapors. Workspace is restricted and employees are generally expected to remain standing for long periods of time. Employees must prepare hot and cold foods, use Chinese cook knife and other kitchen equipment and work quickly without losing accuracy. Employees must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., stand up to four hours and reach across counter tops measured at 36 inches to serve customers. Kitchens are hot and noise levels are usually high; storage space is limited and shelving is high. Employees must be able to work in a fast-paced work environment, have effective verbal communication skills, ability to adapt to a dynamic environment with changing priorities, and the ability to manage conflicts/difficult situations.
