This role is a skilled and experienced Medical Imaging Repair Technician 2 position This mid-level position requires either direct experience in medical imaging or a minimum of two years' experience as a Probo Medical Imaging Repair Technician 1. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated technical competence through hands-on experience and be capable of working independently on a wide range of medical imaging equipment. As a Medical Imaging Repair Technician 2, you will contribute to the continued reliability and performance of imaging systems while mentoring junior team members.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESPerform advanced maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on a variety of medical imaging systems, ensuring high-quality and timely service. Diagnose and resolve complex issues involving electronic components, imaging systems, and software functionality.Lead installation, setup, and calibration of medical imaging equipment, ensuring systems are fully operational and meet all manufacturer specifications.Ensure that all repair and maintenance work is documented accurately, maintaining thorough records for compliance and future reference.Serve as a technical resource for less experienced technicians, providing guidance and support on challenging repairs or installations.Assist with training and certification of junior technicians, sharing knowledge and expertise to enhance team capabilities.Collaborate with senior staff to improve operational efficiency and develop best practices for medical imaging repairs, refurbishment and service opportunities.Ensure adherence to safety protocols and industry standards, particularly those relating to medical device maintenance. Provide excellent service and repairs by clearly communicating with team members or customers/clients regarding repair status, timelines, and troubleshooting outcomes.Stay up to date with the latest trends, technologies, and manufacturer guidelines in the medical imaging field, and continuously enhance technical skills. Observes and promotes Probo's standards and policies on safety, quality and productivity.Primary job responsibilities are those which an employee must be able to perform with or without accommodation. Probo Medical reserves the right to revise the job description as well as require that other duties be performed as needed.QUALIFICATIONSRequired Education and Experience:Associate's degree or certificate in electronics or a related field or equivalent work experience. Medical imaging experience or a minimum of two years' experience as a Probo Medical Imaging Repair Technician 1.If promoted from MIRT 1, the applicant must have been internally certified as competent on multiple applicable medical imaging systems.Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.Strong knowledge of medical imaging systems and electronics troubleshooting. Advanced diagnostic and repair skills with the ability to work independently. Experience in system calibration, installation, and maintenance.Strong leadership and mentoring abilities to assist in the development of junior technicians.Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams. Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with clients, team members, and senior staff.Familiarity with compliance regulations related to medical devices and healthcare settings.Proficient in the use of diagnostic tools and software for medical imaging systems.TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS Occasional travel to customer sites may be required for on-location repairs and installations.WORK ENVIRONMENT The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an individual encounters while performing the essential functions of this position.
