Bally's Corporation is a global casino-entertainment company with a growing omni-channel presence, currently owning and managing 15 casinos across 10 states, a golf course in New York, a horse racetrack in Colorado, and having access to OSB licenses in 18 states. The recent acquisition of Aspers Casino in Newcastle, UK, further expands its international footprint and enhances its diverse entertainment offerings. It also owns Bally's Interactive International, formerly Gamesys Group, a leading, global, interactive gaming operator, Bally Bet, a first-in-class sports betting platform, and Bally Casino, a growing iCasino platform.
With 10,600 employees, the Company's casino operations include approximately 15,300 slot machines, 580 table games, and 3,800 hotel rooms. Bally's also has rights to developable land in Las Vegas post the closure of the Tropicana.
Upon completion of the announced merger with The Queen Casino & Entertainment Inc. ("Queen"), the above portfolio is expected to be supplemented with four additional casinos across three states, one of which will be an additional state that expands Bally's jurisdiction of operations to include the state of Iowa. Queen will also add over 900 employees, and operations that currently include approximately 2,400 slot machines, 50 table games, and 150 hotel rooms to the Bally's portfolio. Bally's will also become the successor of Queen's significant economic stake in a global lottery management and services business through its investment in Intralot S.A. (ATSE: INLOT).
The Role:
As the Director of Human Resources, you will be responsible for all aspects of human resources, including employment, education/training, development, compensation, benefits, labor relations, and employee relations.
Responsibilities:
* Foster an environment that embodies Bally's Born to Entertain philosophy by creating a fun-filled, entertaining atmosphere
* Enthusiastically promote Bally's customer-centric culture of offering superior guest service and actively building long-lasting guest relations
* Become a strategic business partner to senior management on all human resources-related issues
* Develop and implement human resources programs that support the strategy, goals, and objectives of the organization
* Develop and coordinate training and employee development programs that meet the organization's needs as they relate to legal compliance, performance improvement, guest service and satisfaction, and employee professional growth and development
* Establish performance-based total rewards programs in the areas of compensation, benefits and training, creating a work culture that rewards performance and attainment of organizational goals and objectives
* Establish recruitment, selection and promotional programs that support diversity and inclusion in the workforce; ensuring that the organization is staffed with well-trained diverse employee
* Establish employee relations programs that support the retention of competent, solid performing associates and development of programs that coach, counsel associates in a fair and respectful manner
* Develop and manage departmental budget
* Coordinate diversity initiatives with functional leader of all departments
* Ensure compliance with all regulatory controls both internal and external including but not limited to state and federal laws and other applicable regulations
* Hires, trains and manages staff in accordance with organizational and departmental policies and programs
* Conducts team member feedback sessions to monitor workplace satisfaction and to provide feedback to senior management regarding process improvement.
* Establish, implement, and enforce policies and procedures in accordance with regulatory requirements, Company initiatives, and organizational goals
* Develop and maintain a welcoming, safe, professional, and friendly work environment
* Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
* Must have 5-7 years of Human Resources leadership experience
* Casino industry experience a plus
* Labor Relations experience a plus
* College degree or work-related experience
* Computer skills required using database, spreadsheet, word processing, and presentation software
* Must be able to work with high volumes of confidential information in a professional manner
* Must be detailed oriented with excellent organizational skills
* Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
* Ability to obtain and maintain all necessary Illinois State Gaming licensing
* Must be 21 years of age or older
