The Job at a Glance

As a Technical Product Manager (internally known as the Proprietor of Product Information), you will lead the strategy for our product information management journey and work to continuously improve our standing as the industry leaders in mission-critical parts product information. You will be responsible for directing the efforts of an agile team to deliver feature enhancements and capabilities that delight stakeholders and end users and help fuel the tremendous growth of Parts Town. You will work closely with business partners and product information consumers to understand their needs and solve problems through scalable modern technologies. You will socialize your solutions and continually measure and communicate the value being driven throughout the business. If this sounds like something you were born to do, then we would like you to apply!

A Typical Day

  • Establish, own, and drive the strategy for product information management based on company objectives, industry best practices, and stakeholder needs
  • Actively engage with engineers, designers, stakeholders, and data consumers to follow a 5D product lifecycle, owning the definition, discovery, design, development, and delivery of features and innovations
  • Build your product information roadmap, and prioritize projects based on value to the customer and business
  • Lead agile ceremonies for your scrum team including daily scrum calls, sprint planning, story refinement, sprint demos, and retrospectives
  • Communicate to product leaders and stakeholders your roadmap and deliverables through project briefs, live demos, and shareable artifacts
  • Write Epics and Stories in Jira that align with your roadmap and communicate effectively what needs to be delivered by the development team
  • Along with QA, perform User Acceptance Testing of your features to ensure the development meets the expected vision for your product
  • Socialize the new capabilities you bring to life through training and demonstrations to internal and external teams, partnering with marketing leaders to build a communication strategy
  • Continually push the envelope for what it means to be a leader in product information
  • Extract maximum value from product information by building data products that consuming teams use to power user experience, customer service, and day to day operations

To Land This Opportunity

  • You have 5+ years of experience as a Technical Product Manager and/or Product Leader, driving development in an agile environment for e-commerce websites and applications

  • You have an understanding of and experience applying one or more of the following transformative technologies to deliver business results: AI, Machine Learning, IoT, and Cloud+Edge computing
  • You're familiar with data governance concepts and have built solutions that promote data quality, security, access, and monitoring
  • You're an all-star communicator (written and verbal) and have a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences
  • Bonus points if you've worked with leading product or master data management platforms in an ecommerce business
  • You appreciate how exciting and rare it is to work at a company with such extraordinarily sustained growth - Success means more opportunities to develop and deliver truly innovative technology, and that motivates you
  • Bonus points if you have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
