Pay Rate

The base pay for internships ranges between $19.50 - $32/hr. Factors, such as but not limited to, whether the role is technical or non-technical and education level may impact the pay for this position.

Job Description

The Industrial Engineer Intern will make key contributions to the Legacy VS by working on projects that will improve operator ergonomics, process efficiency, and cost savings. These projects may include, but are not limited to:



  • Designing and building a die changeover cart for the new Preco machine.
  • Studying the feasibility of removing the gluing operation for roll-up sleeves.
  • Modifying the head bolt bagging machine to improve efficiency.
  • Replacing the vacuum lift system on the head bolt line.
  • Adding cut programs to the new paper cutter, and others.



Required Skills

Skills and experience necessary for this role include but are not limited to:



  • Ability to work in a fast paced/dynamic environment.
  • Able to work independently as well as in a team setting.
  • Strong analytical skills and motivation.
  • Excellent verbal, writing, and presentation skills.
  • AutoCAD or similar a plus.



Required Experience



  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering.
  • Previous co-op or internship experience preferred.
