Scope:

This Process Engineering Technician role supports the engineering function within the Assembly department. The Engineering Technician will assist with process elements or assist process engineers with the testing and gathering of data on various elements of the printed circuit board assembly process.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for assuring assembly process is running per procedure or conducting engineering tests
  • Monitors assembly processes or performs failure analysis for engineering or quality
  • Takes measurements for process control or gathers measurement data for engineering
  • Re-writes documentation to update new practices or writes and prepares reports for engineering or quality
  • Responds to data on process control charts or maintains material movement spreadsheets and reports results
  • Runs tests through production process line or assists process engineer with evaluating data
  • Responsible for all processes within manufacturing and/or support the efforts of engineers
  • Perform process control activities such as measuring product or performing tests
  • Follow all safety measures when handling chemicals and hazardous waste with regard to use, mixing and disposing chemicals

Essential Knowledge and Skills:

  • Ability to read, write and communicate in English to the degree necessary to perform the job
  • Must have demonstrated ability to read and analyze basic schematics with guidance (analog, digital, RF etc.)
  • Must havethe ability to train others and work as a member of inter-disciplinary teams.
  • Must have proficient PC skills, proficiency in the use of most Windows based software. This includes, but is not limited to Word, AutoCAD, Excel,and other standard programs.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Be able to collect, interpret and present data to supervisor or project leader
  • Strong attention to details.
  • Ability to adapt and learn new skills due to continually changing work environment.
  • Good time management skills.
  • A self-starter with the ability to work basic supervision and a sense of urgency to meet production goals and customer expectations.
  • Structured problem solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to be an analytical thinker,task oriented.

Education and Experience:

Education

  • Associate Degree in Engineering or Electrical Technology or a related field or equivalent work experience

Compensation and Benefits:

TTM offers a variety of health and well-being benefit programs. Compensation ranges for roles at TTM Technologies varies depending on a wide array of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At TTM Technologies, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on each individual set of circumstances. A reasonable estimate of the current range is:

$41,421 - $65,472

Additional compensation: An annual or quarterly company bonus may apply based on position assignment. Positions hired for alternative shift may be eligible for a shift premium based on the assigned shift and location.
