Senior Programmer Analyst

Job Summary

The Senior Programmer Analyst will participate in the analysis, development and implementation of software programs and systems on the IBM server and related business systems such as SQL Server and assist in maintaining the company's current Website. This position provides daily on-site support to end-users of our current business systems. This role will also make recommendations regarding software to meet business needs. In addition, this role will manage software development and implementation projects with minimal supervision. This individual must be comfortable working both independently and as part of a team, and willing to learn new tasks or assume new responsibilities quickly. Qualified candidates will possess an advanced level of experience VB.NET.

Duties

  • Project Management: Must be able to work on multiple projects simultaneously. Facilitate projects from start to finish.
  • Modify programming code in existing 3rd Party application programs. Testing programs before delivering to end users.
  • Analyze, test and Debug new or existing programs, ensuring they meet specified requirements.
  • Provides support to the daily operations of the IT Department as needed.
  • Will assist with help desk related issues as needed.
  • Creates documentation in accordance with current Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and policies.
  • Provides training to end users on the use of technology to support business processes.
  • Investigates proposed software applications for conformity to requirements.
  • Provides support to the daily operations of the IT Department as needed.



Qualifications

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as VB.NET, VBA, SQL, XML, SSRS, HTML, CSS, JavaScript is required.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft Windows, Visual Studio, FormSprint, PhotoShop, and SharePoint/WSS.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are required.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while managing individual responsibilities effectively.
  • Maintain excellent communication skills both orally and written.
  • Must be a self-starter, able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and have ability to meet strict deadlines and perform under pressure in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Computer Science or related degree or equivalent combination of education or work experience
  • 5 years of experience required. 8 to 10 years of relevant experience is preferred.
