Overview
Join the HJF Team! HJF is seeking a highly motivated Post-Baccalaureate Research Assistant I, with strong interests in translational cancer research to join a dynamic research team. The Post-baccalaureate Research Assistant I will be responsible for conducting research projects in collaboration with a research team consisting of scientific and clinical investigators. Candidates should have interests in molecular biology and in identifying novel biomarkers in prostate cancer. Career building opportunities include development of scientific presentations, technical research skills, experimental design and writing skills. This position will be in support of the Dr. Xiaofeng Allen Su laboratory at the Murtha Cancer Center Research Program's (MCCRP) Center for Prostate Disease Research (CPDR). The Su lab focuses on how genomic instability and tumor-specific aneuploidy influences prostate cancer development. The lab aims to elucidate in-depth molecular mechanisms in the field of (but not limited to) DNA damage repair, genomic instability, 3D genome dynamics, cancer metabolism and cancer immunology. CPDR has a close collaboration with National Cancer Institute (NCI) - Genitourinary Malignancies Branch (GMB), where Dr. Su also has an adjunct appointment. The Henry M.
