Military and Veteran Student Success: The Office of Military and Veteran Student Success, a unit within the Department of Access and Community Engagement is dedicated to providing student veterans and military-connected students with an enriching and inclusive student experience. The office works with university and community partners to provide a student experience that allows student veterans and military-connected students to achieve educational and career goals through academic success and community partnerships. The Opportunity: The School Certifying Officer has primary responsibility for processing timely and accurate VA Educational Benefit certifications. The School Certifying Officer will monitor student enrollments for all student veterans and military-connected students utilizing VA Educational Benefits. Additionally, the certifying officer will monitor financial transactions related to VA educational benefits, working closely with appropriate university offices to ensure regulatory compliance. The specialist will maintain thorough working knowledge of military and veteran's educational benefits, including all state and federal legislative requirements. Additionally, this position will be responsible for the case management and oversight of student academic success, referring those students in need of assistance to a higher level of academic support. Responsibilities:
Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or Equivalent and 4+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219.
