HVAC/R Estimator

Rite-Air Mechanical Services, an affiliate of Smart Care Equipment Solutions, is a full-service HVAC/R contractor specializing in commercial air conditioning, heating, and refrigeration. We deliver energy-efficient solutions for the installation, maintenance, and repair of various HVAC/R systems.

About the Role

As a Senior Estimator, you will play a critical role in analyzing repair and installation needs and developing accurate cost evaluations and quotes for commercial customers. Based in our Moorestown, NJ office, you will collaborate closely with our HVAC/Refrigeration repair team, ensuring precise pricing for labor, parts, and materials. Your expertise will drive cost-effective solutions and sales opportunities.

• Utilize your analytical and mechanical knowledge to develop effective cost estimates and contribute to operational success.

• Assess repair or installation needs, including labor, parts, travel, freight, and supplies, to develop accurate and detailed quotes.

• Collaborate with technicians and customers to determine the best course of action for service and project needs.

• Utilize HVAC/Refrigeration parts and systems knowledge to ensure accurate cost projections and clear communication.

• Work efficiently in a fast-paced emergency service environment to meet customer demands and deadlines.

• Follow up on pending quotes and estimates to drive approvals and sales.

• Strong mathematical skills to ensure precision in pricing, parts margins, and refrigerant calculations.

• Analytical ability to assess service requirements and determine necessary materials for quoting.

• Attention to detail to create comprehensive estimates including all essential cost components.

• Excellent communication skills to interact with technicians, create accurate quotes, and relay information to customers effectively.

• Experience in a mechanical, parts, HVAC, or emergency repair environment (minimum four years preferred).

• Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

• Ability to work with urgency and efficiency in a service-driven environment.

• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and process-driven approach to work.

• Basic mechanical knowledge to understand HVAC/Refrigeration equipment and provide informed estimates.
