Entry-Level Claims Specialist

Are you detail-oriented, enjoy problem-solving, and are passionate about employee safety and well-being? S&ME is looking for an entry-level Claims Specialist to join our Safety team. This position allows for the flexibility of remote and in-office work, allowing for a good work-life balance. You may be based out of any S&ME location within our footprint.

What You Will Do:

As an Entry-Level Safety Claims Specialist, you'll be crucial in managing insurance claims related to automobile accidents and workplace injuries. You'll coordinate medical monitoring, scheduling, and maintaining accurate records. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in claims management and employee safety while working collaboratively with internal and external partners to achieve the best outcomes.



  • Manage Claims Inventory: Organize and maintain documentation for auto and workers' compensation claims of low to moderate complexity.
  • Collaborate with Partners: Work with internal teams, suppliers, and experts to facilitate optimal claims outcomes.
  • Input New Claims: Ensure timely entry of new incidents and claims into the Health, Safety, and Environmental Management System (HSEMS).
  • Assist Employees: Support employees through the claims process and act as a liaison with insurance carriers.
  • Update Medical Records: Upload post-clinic visit reports and medical monitoring results to the appropriate systems, ensuring compliance and efficiency.



What You Bring:



  • A High School Diploma or GED
  • A degree in a closely related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • The ability and willingness to obtain HAZWOPER 40-hr training within 90days of employment
  • The completion of OSHA 7505 and 7205, a plus



Working Conditions and Physical Demands:

You are willing and able to perform the physical demands of this position with the use of Company-provided Personal Protective Equipment such as:



  • Routinely lifting and carrying 25lbs
  • Traveling out-of-town and possibly overnight for assignments as needed
