Position Description Summary: |
The George Washington University Medical Faculty Associates (
MFA) Department of Medicine is seeking a Division Director for the Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Disorders. The
MFA is an independent, non-profit clinical practice group affiliated with the George Washington University. The Division Director will be able to lead and grow a successful division in an academic medical setting. Tremendous growth and expansion potential exist in support of the organization's academic and clinical mission.
This non-tenure track appointment will be made at a rank (Associate or Full Professor) and salary commensurate with experience. This position is expected to begin as early as July 1, 2025. |
Specific Duties and Responsibilities: |
The Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Disorders Director will lead divisional faculty in research, educational and clinical services, strategic planning, development, and resource management. The new Division Director, who will report to the department chair, will also aim to advance the Division through patient care, practice innovation, research, and education while playing a key leadership role. The successful applicant will demonstrate strong leadership skills, clinical, research, and academic accomplishments, with the ability to build vibrant, contemporary programs. |
Minimum Qualifications: |
Applicants must be board-certified in Pulmonary Diseases, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine and eligible for licensure in the District of Columbia at the time of appointment. Applicants must have a record of providing excellent clinical care services, leadership in research, and clinical education, as demonstrated by experience, publications, evaluations, and references. |
