Job Summary GateWay Community College is now hiring for an exciting role as an Instruction Senior (Pharmacy Technician). This position provides instruction for vocational or occupational subjects at the postsecondary level. Performs administrative duties related to instructional programs and serves as a lead worker to other staff. This position report to our 18th street location: 555 N. 18th Street Phoenix, AZ 85006 Essential Functions 50% - Instructs students in the use of proper techniques and procedures in pharmacy technician according to the prescribed competencies by the American Society of Health System Pharmacists (ASHP), utilizes active learning techniques in the classroom, reviews students' work, evaluates their progress, and assesses their performance; continually develops and refines syllabi and lesson plans so that student success and preparedness for work are improved. 20% - Through the delegation of the program manager, delegate tasks to the part-time instructional staff in a fashion consistent with current policy; assist in the evaluation of part-time staff, assessing whether their teaching methodologies and practices are effective with our students, that the relevant instructional staff develops and reviews curricula at intervals frequent enough to ensure strong curricula, that their students are meeting the prescribed objectives as per the established curriculum, determine resources and materials needed to meet course requirements, and requisition materials as needed while working within the established budget. 15% - Continually develops and refines syllabi as well as lesson plans so that student success and preparedness for work are improved. Actively participates and helps in the curriculum development process; determines quality resources and materials needed to meet course requirements, requisitioning materials as needed while working within the established budget. 15% - Keeps current and accurate records of students' progress and attendance in the fashion prescribed by GateWay Community College GWCC policies; responds to requests for student information in an effective and timely fashion; identifies problems and makes recommendations for improvement through corrective action report generation; Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or GED and five (5) years of experience in area of assignment (Pharmacy Technician). Desired Qualifications A. Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) B. AZ State Board of Pharmacy License-Pharmacy Technician C. BLS Certification D.
