The Role: The Senior Buyer executes all essential facets of the purchasing process pertaining to various commodities. Duties are to be performed within a timely manner and in alignment with the Purchasing Department Policies and Procedures or the general instruction of its delegated management. Responsibilities: Administration of the bidding process and evaluation of bids submitted Negotiate with vendors on initial contracts or on contract disputes Review all requisitions for procurement of materials and services Ensure purchasing activities are properly interfaced and coordinated with other departments as necessary Ensure that vendors have complied fully with contracts/purchase orders prior to final payment Ensure regulatory compliance with state mandates Maintain Vendor relationships Maintain knowledge of all promotions and events Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications: Experience and knowledge of working with Diverse suppliers within Chicago Must have at least 5 years of purchasing experience Experience using Oracle is preferred Must be proficient in Microsoft Suite and office equipment Must have excellent customer service skills Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license issued by the Illinois Gaming Board What's in it for you: Competitive salary with annual performance reviews Comprehensive health coverage plan that includes medical, dental, and vision 401(K)/ Company Match Access Perks and Childcare discounts Compensation Range: $80,000 annual salary Onsite Expectations Note this role functions onsite 5 days a week Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
