The Role:

The Senior Buyer executes all essential facets of the purchasing process pertaining to various commodities. Duties are to be performed within a timely manner and in alignment with the Purchasing Department Policies and Procedures or the general instruction of its delegated management.

Responsibilities:



  • Administration of the bidding process and evaluation of bids submitted
  • Negotiate with vendors on initial contracts or on contract disputes
  • Review all requisitions for procurement of materials and services
  • Ensure purchasing activities are properly interfaced and coordinated with other departments as necessary
  • Ensure that vendors have complied fully with contracts/purchase orders prior to final payment
  • Ensure regulatory compliance with state mandates
  • Maintain Vendor relationships
  • Maintain knowledge of all promotions and events
  • Perform other duties as assigned



Qualifications:



  • Experience and knowledge of working with Diverse suppliers within Chicago
  • Must have at least 5 years of purchasing experience
  • Experience using Oracle is preferred
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Suite and office equipment
  • Must have excellent customer service skills
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license issued by the Illinois Gaming Board

Compensation Range:



  • $80,000 annual salary



Onsite Expectations
