Position Overview
Primary Purpose of Position |
The primary purpose of this position is to carry out the the activities of cleanliness in the University Dining facility (Williams Dining). The incumbent will provide a clean and healthy environment which promotes safety, preserves equipment and extends the life of the facility. |
Primary Function of Organizational Unit |
Campus Enterprises is a visible support unit on the campus providing essential service to students, faculty, staff, parents and visitors. Campus Enterprises is comprised of the University's self supporting entities. The strategic goal of Campus Enterprises encompasses achieving operational excellence, generating revenue, and providing outstanding customer service satisfaction. In addition, Campus Enterprises provides management support to the intercollegiate athletics program to efficiently and effectively preserve athletic resources as well as fiscal oversight to the Division of Student Affairs and all student driven entities. Organizationally, Campus Enterprises resides in the Division of Business and Finance. The Associate Vice Chancellor reports to the Vice Chancellor of Business and Finance. The department serves a vast and diverse customer-base that consists of nine functional units: Dining Services, Aggie OneCard, University Bookstore, Ticket Office, Mail Center, Vending, Concession, Real Property and Parking & Transportation. |

Monday through Friday 5:00 am- 2:00 pm. Schedule is subject to change depending on the operational needs |

* Read work schedule and report at the scheduled times
* Responsible for the cleaning of the interior and exterior of Williams Dining such as: Campus Enterprises Office and Dining Offices, hallways, lobby area including stairwell, restrooms, dining areas, janitor's closet, walk ways around the building
* Perform basic cleaning on a daily basis such as: sweeping, mopping, scrubbing to remove spots, vacuum all carpeted areas, dusting, disinfecting, etc.
* Empty trash cans and ash urns daily
* Clean restrooms daily: sweep & mop floors, clean sinks, toilets, mirrors, paper towel & soap dispensers
* Check and fill paper towel, soap, tissue and other dispensers twice daily- mornings and prior to end of shift
* Clean all glass surfaces- windows & doors and polish stainless steel surfaces
* Clean 15ft. outward around building entrance ways
* Three times a week- spray buff floors, clean/dust office areas, conference rooms to include: file cabinets, desks, tables and bookcases, clean all metal hardware such kick plates, door knobs, push plates, dust window sills, moldings, picture frames/wall hangings, vents, fixtures, etc.
* Responsible for maintaining an inventory of cleaning materials, supplies and equipment to perform duties |

* Scheduled work includes but not limited to strip & wax tile floors, washing/repair of venetian blinds, wash windows, clean tile & grout in restrooms, wash light fixtures
