Position Overview:

Manage sales in the assigned territory and develop business within given product line. Main objective is to increase sales and profitability for strategic business group. Duties also include management and development of customer relationships to grow our business through focused technical and business development activities. International Distributor Management in Mexico and Colombia.

How you will impact Ingevity:

  • Manages sales process in the defined account assignments and territory through visits, telephone, or correspondence with customers
  • Customer visits, market needs, negotiations & opportunities to be documented in CRM tool
  • Develop customer relationships towards deep multi-level relationships with healthy knowledge of customers short- and long-term needs, involving Customer Service, Innovation, BD & Marketing internal teams
  • Accurate forecasting of assigned accounts
  • Customer requirements are known and documented
  • Complaints from customers are handled according to the routinesProfitable sales of products to assigned customer accounts
  • Business development pipeline in assigned accounts and work with the Business Development team on assigned markets.
  • Forecast future business accurately through Customer/ Markets intimacy and knowledge
  • Handle customer enquiries and complaints and respond in a timely fashion deliver an exceptional customer experience, working with internal teams and resources.
  • Manage overall Ingevity relationship with assigned accounts and Distributors.
  • Self-starter, provide account plans, and execute, adapting position KPIs to each account.
  • Focused on near term revenue generation and business development delivery.

What you need to succeed:

  • Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or equivalent degree to Bachelors level.
  • Minimum 10 years' experience specialty sales, technical or marketing role within the Chemical Industry to be considered.
  • Experience in Polyurethane and preferably the CASE Polyurethane industry required.
  • Experience in the broader Thermoplastic or Bioplastic markets is preferred
  • Strong track record of successful relationship management and business development activity
  • Strong communication skills for internal and external correspondence
  • Knowledge of use of CRM system (Salesforce) and forecasting tools would also be a benefit
  • Self-motivated, Team player mentality is a must to bring in the wider commercial team at the appropriate moment or opportunity.
  • Experience in doing business in Latin America, Spanish speaking ability and international markets & trading acumen are strongly preferred
  • This role is not eligible for employment visa sponsorship. The successful candidate must not now, or in the future, require sponsorship to work in the US.
