What you will do:

We are at a critical juncture at Johnson Controls-we possess the right vision and strategy, and it is imperative to ensure flawless deployment and execution. Our Buildings Solutions North America team is ready for significant growth. To facilitate this, we must enhance our frontline leadership to accelerate our capacity to serve our employees and customers effectively. Our Sales Leaders are vital in driving secured orders, margin growth, and fostering strong partnerships with our customers.

How you will do it:

  • Coaches local selling managers to promote HVAC product and solution sales across the Region.
  • Sets professionalism standards within the HVAC sales function, fostering a high-performance culture through engaged local leadership.
  • Ensures sales practices and customer partnerships that foster long-term business relationships and growth opportunities.
  • Establishes and maintains long-term relationships with strategically important customers to influence opportunities.
  • Identifies opportunities for improvements in HVAC selling practices and data utilization to enhance revenue growth.
  • Leads, coaches, and empowers local market sales leaders on best practices, sales management, win strategies, and customer engagement.
  • Collaborates with Market General Managers to ensure local Sales Managers and sellers receive coaching and development through established programs.
  • Influences managers and frontline sales force by exemplifying trust, support, and a high say/do ratio.
  • Prioritizes activities to achieve targets through actionable metrics and ensures adoption of strategic initiatives to drive market share growth.
  • Ensures understanding of local market size and sales capacity requirements, facilitating appropriate staffing activities.
  • Leads the monthly, quarterly commercial forecasting process for local market sales leaders.
  • Guarantees regional implementation of commercial initiatives launched by functional teams.
  • Collaborates with Region Service, Installation, and function leadership to ensure effective cross-functional collaboration and SOP implementation.
  • Coaches, mentors, and assists in onboarding local market HVAC sales leaders.
  • Drives sales management cadence and compliance with established requirements.
  • Monitors and oversees the weekly huddle process for sales managers and their teams.
  • Drives pipeline sufficiency on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis in collaboration with market management teams.
  • Promotes a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion within the regional HVAC sales team.
