Job Details VR/AR/XR Associate - Co-opJob Description Job Summary The VR/AR/XR Associate will work closely with both the IS&T team and university faculty and staff to contribute to the co-creation of innovative VR/AR/XR experiences using a variety of tools and technologies. The VR/AR/XR Associate will design and implement immersive VR/AR/XR activities, collaborating with faculty and staff to co-create new VR/AR/XR content using a variety of tools and technologies to enhance student experiences and support faculty instructional goals and outcomes. Essential Functions
Competencies (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required): Effective Communications - Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques, ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment. Service Excellence - Knowledge of customer service concepts and techniques, ability to meet or exceed customer needs and expectations and provide excellent service in a direct or indirect manner Understanding of VR/AR/XR concepts, principles, and development workflows. Portfolio or examples of previous VR/AR/XR projects is a plus. Experience with XR development tools including Unity, and Unreal Engine. Familiarity with XR platforms and concepts such as HMD systems, 360 and 3D video technology, as well as video production and editing. Self-motivated with a passion for exploring new technologies and pushing creative boundaries. Problem Solving - Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems, ability to apply this knowledge appropriately to diverse situations Minimum Education and Experience Requirements: Education: BS required; MS preferred. (Computer Science, Game Development, Interactive Media, etc.) or equivalent experience.
