The SBO HearingUS, Key Account Manager in the Mountain Central region will be responsible for managing all inside sales, outside sales, and regional training activities to exceed unit and revenue targets for Philips Hearing Solutions in big box retail (Costco) and emerging channels for a designated region in the US. The Key Account Manager will closely collaborate with other SBO Hearing Key Account Managers, staff and leadership to review regional and national market situations to determine customer needs, sales opportunities, and threats from competition. The individual will adhere to communication and interaction directives from customers' HQ leadership teams.
Responsibilities
Grow, develop, and protect Demant brands in the Costco Channel and emerging channels in their region and nationally, to meet and exceed Demant sales goals.
- Develop new business opportunities and maintain current customer relationships through phone (queue) and virtual touchpoints, along with in-person visits and training events when possible.
- Meet and exceed all Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) outlined by manager.
- Manage territories through outbound and incoming phone calls by using AIM principles to support sales and training objectives.
- Perform outbound call duties (e.g. kick-out and aging order calls) and appropriately use these opportunities to engage with customers during calls.
- Routinely review all reporting to create sales opportunities during customer interactions
- Promote Demant hearing aids and accessories over the phone when possible.
- Utilize ERP and CRM Systems daily to log call activity and track sales activity. Responsible for maintaining and updating contact information in the ERP and CRM systems.
- Participate in periodic SBO team calls and 1to1s.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to organize and create effective sales, training, and marketing materials.
- Educate and train customers on Demant products and fitting software via phone, virtual and in-person sessions, when possible, and as directed by customer (Costco) management.
- Conduct dynamic and motivating workshops and seminars on audiological and product topics at national, regional, and local seminars. Audience size can range from one person to hundreds.
- Assist the Education & Training Manager and the SBO leadership team in the execution of training events and with the CEU administration process for each training session delivered.
- Occasional overnight travel required. Participates in sales related functions as needed: such as the National Sales Meeting, Costco Regional Trainings and Costco Senior Fall Conference
- Develop relationships (when possible) with key Costco employees involved in Costco's Hearing Aid business beyond local audiologists and hearing aid specialists including Warehouse managers, Regional Managers, Trainers, and other personnel as appropriate.
- Perform miscellaneous tasks/projects as directed by manager.
- Work to continually improve the customer experience and loyalty.
- Ensure that all internal and external customer policies, procedures, and standards are followed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or HIS Certification required
- Masters in Audiology/Au.D. preferred
- Three or more years' hearing industry or medical device sales
- Expertise in product knowledge, related products and patient facilitation skills
- Thorough audiological knowledge
- Strong interpersonal skills to persuade and build rapport and confidence with customers and co-workers
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced and demanding work environment where strong organizational, active listening, effective communication, and multi-tasking skills are required
- Work is generally of a complex, critical and/or confidential nature where a positive attitude, independent action, and a high degree of initiative are essential
- Ability to sell products and services over the phone using a consultative approach
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Some travel required (~10-20%); subject to change
- Effective time management skills
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite; advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint with the ability to type on a computer keyboard
- Effectively use productivity enhancing programs or systems to improve efficiency, perform collaboration with all stakeholders and present the best image of Demant to our customers
