The Global OEM Sales team at Seagate is dedicated to driving strategic sales initiatives with our most pivotal customers, particularly those servicing the IT business at the edge. Our team plays a crucial role in ensuring Seagate's success by positioning the company to effectively meet future demands in the rapidly evolving sectors of data storage, compute, and data services.This role will be instrumental in driving business growth and maximizing key performance metrics through data-driven decision-making. Leveraging data analytics and trend analysis, guide strategic business decisions to enhance revenue, market share, volume, and margin. In addition to developing and implementing effective sales strategies, the role requires cultivating strong relationships across multiple organizations to ensure seamless cross-functional communication. Furthermore, this role will identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance business processes and overall performance.

About the role - you will:

Be Responsible For:



  • Strategic Support: Partner with Sales Leadership in establishing strategic priorities, with periodic reviews to reassess and adjust as necessary.
  • Market Trends and Forecasting: Support Sales teams with customer market trend information. Analyze Sales and Pricing trends to recommend actions for the organization. Model Sales forecasts for the region.
  • Data Analysis, Visualization and Reporting: Provide timely and insightful advice based on a solid understanding of current business issues. Pull and analyze data for presentations to upper management, internal, and external stakeholders. Assist the Sales team in data gathering and analytics. Manage the region's TAM and Outlook numbers and files.
  • Budget Management: Support the review and reconciliation of the regional budget for the Sales Leader on a quarterly basis.
  • Coordination: Act as a central point of contact for coordinating the Sales Leader's activities, ensuring operational execution and preparation of relevant documents and briefing material.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams (Pricing, Marketing, Operations) for data gathering and reporting. Build strong relationships and deliver timely, accurate, and professional operational support as needed.
  • Process Improvement: Drive continuous process improvement and automation in reporting and data.

  • Communication: Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Adaptable: Comfortable with change and ambiguity, with the ability to multitask and manage multiple projects.
  • Organized and Driven: Highly organized and able to complete tasks with little guidance and tight deadlines. Self-motivated and able to take initiative in a challenging, fast-paced environment

Your experience includes:

  • Experience with Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Actuarial Science, Business Data Analytics,or Global Business

Location:

Our Shakopee campus is located 25 minutes southwest of Minneapolis in a setting with a rural vibe - it overlooks a horse racing track and stables, yet it has great entertainment venues close by as well. The estimated base salary range for this position is $50,700 - $79,000. The individual salary is based on work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

The benefits for this position are based on a full-time schedule for a full calendar year and may differ depending on work location.
