Our team is looking for a Quality Engineer to join them. You will have primary responsibility for the site quality functions and projects. This includes support of site quality and lean improvements, regulatory compliance (ISO 13485, MDR, and CFR 820), and reporting quality performance to site leadership. You will report to the Quality Manager and will have an onsite work schedule in Salt Lake City, Utah.

As a Quality Engineer, you will:

  • Support operations to ensure that devices, components, and materials are produced to meet expectations and comply with standards.

  • Evaluate manufacturing processes for compliance to quality requirements.

  • Own and drive nonconformance reports and corrective and preventative action investigations.

  • Collect and analyze complaint data for product/process improvement efforts (e.g., complaints, scrap, nonconforming product, customer complaints) by systematically gathering quality metric data and performing the appropriate analysis method(s) to identify and address root causes and enhance product design.

  • Manage validation activities to support manufacturing and research and design activities.

  • Lead projects and/or provide project support to improve Quality Management System.

  • Participate and support in quality audits.

To be considered for a Quality Engineer, here's what you'll need to bring with you:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, biomedical engineering, or related science discipline.

  • Experience in an engineering position within a medical device manufacturing production environment in a regulated industry.

  • Working knowledge of FDA QSR (21 CFR Part 820), ISO 13485, and MDR with the ability to understand other medical device regulations and standards.

  • Strong communication, presentation, facilitation, and project management skills.

  • Experience working in cross-functional teams and driving projects to completion.

  • Knowledge of analytical techniques and statistical analysis.

  • Understanding of lean principles and techniques.

  • Approximately 5% travel, both domestic and international, may be required to suppliers and customers.

Salary Range Transparency:

Salt Lake City, UT $65,000.00-$90,000.00 Annually

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees.
