The Manager, Financial Analysis and Reporting is responsible for managing, directing, and monitoring all aspects in the creation and validation of complex statistical analyses regarding patient revenue and accounts receivable for The Johns Hopkins Hospital, Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, Howard County General Hospital, Sibley Memorial Hospital Suburban Hospital and All Children's Hospital.

This position is responsible for the timely issuance of the monthly accounts receivable analysis package and ad hoc analysis, which is used by Executive and Senior Management for financial decision making.

This position additionally develops forecasting techniques and reporting methodologies for expense projections and budget preparation.

This position is the primary contact with Hospital administrators that are in need of specific payer/revenue/collection rate information for their programs. In addition, this is the key management person responsible for resolving issues with General Accounting on receivables or interfaces to the general ledger system.

This position is the primary departmental contact with the external auditors during the annual audit of the Heath System.

This position is responsible for establishing relationships at all facilities and be familiar with each institution's computer environment and accounting contracts.

Requirements:




  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Health Administration, Finance, or related field.
  • A minimum of seven years of progressive financial analysis experience, hospital receivables management experience, and Patient Accounting System(s) within a medical center or health system.
  • A minimum of four years of direct management experience
  • Experienced in business office within highly motivated environment.
  • Experienced in using team building and quality management concepts to positively influence the work environment.

Salary Range: Minimum 44.31 per hour - Maximum 77.57 per hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
