General Summary

The Member Development Specialist works closely with the Vice President of Retail & the Membership Development Team, and the Marketing department to grow relationships and foster engagement with USSFCU SEGs, Non-SEGs, as well as other community groups and businesses to generate growth for the credit union. This process will be demonstrated through financial wellness, SEG engagement events (in-person, digital, and hybrid events).

Major Duties & Responsibilities



  1. Plan, organize, and assist all member, SEG and business development engagement events.
  2. Assists with the preparation, planning, coordinating and outcomes of our high-profile events; Cherry Blossom, Annual Meeting, Congressional Baseball Game, USSFCU Anniversary, and other events and duties as needed or assigned.
  3. Work closely with our financial wellness and advisory partners to deepen relationships, create goodwill, and strengthen partnerships with members, SEGs and businesses through financial wellness events, initiatives, and activities.
  4. Works alongside marketing efforts to achieve new core member growth by coordinating and co-hosting membership drives, info sessions and workshops with SEGs and businesses.
  5. Actively engages in cultivating community engagement by coordinating with community organizations on events, sponsorships, and activities.
  6. Oversees the management of our engagement tools, materials, and giveaways.
  7. Proficient in articulating the credit union movement, the USSFCU difference, the USSFCU brand and the benefits of USSFCU products and services that results in deeper and more meaningful relationships among members, Select Employee Groups, and community organizations, including nonprofits.
  8. Collaborates with the member/business development team in guiding any interested and board-approved businesses through the process of becoming a SEG.
  9. Builds and maintains a comprehensive and up-to-date portfolio of member, SEG, business and community contacts with whom the credit union engages.


Non-essential Duties & Responsibilities



  1. Performs other duties as assigned, including monthly reporting.

Experience and Skills

Education: A High School Diploma is required.

Experience: Three (3) years in Marketing, Public Relations, or Businesses Development is preferred.

Skills:



  1. Passion for facilitation with experience and can use a variety of channels, i.e., virtual, in-person, online tools, etc., to deliver programs, activities, sessions, etc.
  2. Excellent motivational and interpersonal skills with the ability to "lead" in a non?supervisory capacity.
  3. Strong attention to detail, superior organizational skills and effective activity/event coordination required.
  4. Ability to manage multiple tasks with various deadlines and follow through with staff and a variety of constituents.
  5. Ability to represent USSFCU professionally at corporate-sponsored or community activities and interact effectively with and present to various audiences, including members, business community leaders and partner?employees through a variety of channels.
  6. Basic fluency with event registration software, project tracking software, websites, email marketing and digital meeting software (Zoom).
  7. Ability to set priorities, develop workplans, meet deadlines, and manage projects in a multi-stakeholder, collaborative environment.
  8. Ability to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and early morning hours.


Additional: Ability to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and early morning hours. While there will be an opportunity to work remotely at times, this position will be a mostly in-office/on-site position.

Salary: Minimum $67,671.39 - $101,507.09 Maximum

Supervisory: None Required.
