THE JOB:

At Libertine Social, we're redefining the modern gastropub experience with a bold and innovative approach to upscale casual dining. We are looking for an Assistant Chef who thrives in a high-energy kitchen, is passionate about crafting unforgettable dishes, and is eager to mentor and lead a dynamic team. This role is a hands-on culinary leadership position, the ideal candidate will oversee daily prep, ordering, butchery, and kitchen operations, while also collaborating on menu development and seasonal innovations. THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Lead and oversee kitchen operations, ensuring smooth service.

• Manage daily prep, food ordering, and butchery for meats and seafood, maintaining high-quality standards.

• Collaborate on menu development, contributing to seasonal updates and specialty dishes.

• Oversee inventory management, food costing, and kitchen scheduling, ensuring efficiency and profitability.

• Train and mentor a team of Cooks, Master Cooks, and Pantry Workers, fostering a culture of excellence and teamwork.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and high-functioning kitchen that aligns with health and safety standards.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• At least 21 years of age or older.

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.

• 2+ Years of prior relevant experience in a high volume restaurant, production kitchen, or fine dining restaurant.

• Ability to lead and mentor a team.

• Experience with butchery.
