Academic Gynecologic and Perinatal Pathologist

The Department of Pathology at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine seeks a full-time non-tenure-eligible Clinician Educator at the rank of Assistant, Associate or Full Professor. Responsibilities include excellence in clinical diagnostic service and teaching in gynecologic and perinatal pathology. The successful candidate will have a strong track record of specialized training, productivity and scholarship in gynecologic or perinatal pathology. The candidate will join an outstanding team of gynecologic and perinatal pathologists that together diagnose over 8,000 gynecologic biopsies and resection specimens and over 3,500 placentas per year. In addition to clinical responsibilities and research, faculty is expected to play an active role in teaching and training medical students, residents, and fellows.

Qualified candidates must hold MD or MD/PhD degrees and be board certified in AP or AP/CP from the American Board of Pathology, as well as be eligible for an unrestricted medical license in the State of Illinois.

The start date is negotiable and the position will remain open until filled.

The expected base pay range for this position is $225,000 - $290,000.

The pay offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors including (but not limited to) the experience and qualifications of the selected candidate including years since terminal degree, training, and field or discipline; departmental budget availability; internal equity; and external market pay for comparable jobs.
