Job Summary

Optimum Communications is seeking an experienced Manager of Logisticsto oversee the day-to-day operations of our 3PL operations in Rotterdam, NY. This person will report to the Director of Logistics. This person will be responsible for promoting company values and our Supply Chain business plan. Working with the Director of Logistics, you will have oversight of inventory projects, company policies and processes, and 3PL team members at this location. This is an engaging position requiring strong leadership and communication skills, special attention to detail, and demonstrating integrity, team building, collaboration, and excellence creating a high-performance culture.

Responsibilities
  • Manage all escalations from the field and retail on shipping delays or discrepancies
  • Ensure all SLAs metrics provided in the Statement of Work are being achieved
  • Ensure all inbound deliveries are verified and material is put away timely in an organized and secure location
  • Monitor KPI Report and maintain KPIs for regular review with 3PL partner
  • Review open orders into the 3PL to manage item type, qtys, inventory on hand
  • Review open orders into 3PL to manage all orders are processed based on available inventory
  • Review item substitution opportunities for Back Ordered items
  • Communicate best practices around order entry and replenishment activities
  • Monitor transactional costs and ensure ordering and material processing are being done to achieve efficiencies
  • Ongoing review of the effectiveness of current strategies and finding ways to improve them
Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Individuals must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities or be able to explain and demonstrate that they can perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodations, using some combination of skills and abilities

  • Supply Chain and Operations / Logistics experience at a supervisor level or above
  • Strong product / SKU and inventory management experience, including WMS systems, stock management and supplier management
  • Oracle R12: Inventory Management and Warehouse Management experience is a plus
  • Effective Communication Skills
  • Critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively
  • Excellent written, oral, and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software programs
  • Strong follow-up and accountability skills
  • Proactive, well organized and motivated for high level performance

This position is identified as being performed in/or reporting to company operations in New York State. Salary ranges are supplied in compliance with New York State law. Pay is competitive and based on a number of job-related factors, including skills and experience. The starting pay rate/range at time of hire for this position in the posted location is $102,816.00-$168,912.00/year. The rate/range provided herein is the anticipated pay at the time of hire, and does not reflect future job opportunity.
