JOB SUMMARY:

The Head of People and Culture (HPC) will be responsible for providing strategic, organization-wide leadership for the Human Resource function including organization design, development and implementation of all HR policies, programs and services to identify and build human capital critical to meet the organization's present and future requirements.

DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee responsibility for organizational culture and talent acquisition
  • Advise senior leadership and develop strategies regarding compensation, benefits, workforce planning and succession planning
  • Advise senior leadership and be a resource for department leaders on how to handle Team Member-related issues such as performance and corrective action as needed
  • Ensure that job descriptions are created with clear responsibilities and accountabilities
  • Work closely with managers to reduce Team Member turnover and help to identify why turnover is occurring
  • Responsible for making sure that all Team Member complaints made to HR such as sexual harassment and EEOC-related violation claims are handled appropriately and that we comply with all applicable laws. Engage our legal counsel as needed
  • Ensure we have a great onboarding experience for new hires
  • Track HR metrics to ensure the team is functioning well and supporting the talent needs of all department leaders
  • Facilitate training to ensure Team Members, especially new hires, fully understand their roles and their impact on our customers and our business
  • Oversee the payroll function to ensure benefits for Team Members are correctly executed
  • Conduct exit interviews and provide feedback to the Team Member's manager
  • Ensure that company policies are updated and take the lead on creating new policies as needed
  • Ensure Team Member files are current and safeguarded at all times
  • Engage with our HR vendors as needed



REQUIREMENTS: (Education, Experience, Skills, Abilities)

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or Business
  • Minimum of 10 years of HR-related experience in an Executive capacity
  • Extensive knowledgeable in labor laws and regulations
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Superior judgment and discretion
  • Able to collaborate effectively with other Team Members


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by Team Members to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.

While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to talk and hear. Required to frequently sit, stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms.

The Team Member may occasionally be required to lift and/or move 10+ pounds; sit, stoop, bend and kneel. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, filing cabinets and fax machines, etc.

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are typically between the hours of 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday - Friday, occasional overtime required as needed.
