Position Summary: Plant Financial Analyst is responsible for the daily, weekly, and monthly financial reporting to the Plant Controller. This individual will work to maintain integrity in inventory control and cost accounting. This position will work closely with manufacturing managers across various North American manufacturing plants to understand issues and how they impact financial results as well as educate/inform departments on cost drivers and variances.

Responsibilities:



  • Labor Reporting across Plants
  • IMA Variance reporting support
  • Report Sales and Backlog weekly to executive staff for all NA Tank plants
  • Reporting accuracy of manufacturing variance accounts as part of the month-end close process
  • Bill of material and work order review and variance tracking
  • Involvement in Lean Events at plants
  • Responsible for assisting inventory management, including preparation of excess and obsolete reports, reserves, and disposition plans
  • Prepare and complete month-end journal entries and financial reports associated with the manufacturing accounts.
  • Post inventory transactions for all NA Tank plants
  • Prepare account reconciliations
  • Other various duties as assigned by Plant Controller


Skills, Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or 2 years with relevant manufacturing accounting experience.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of ERP Systems and Accounting software
  • Experience using Microsoft Office
  • High Level of Proficiency with Excel
  • Experience with SQL and report writing
  • Some travel expected
