Location: The successful candidate will be expected to work in a hybrid status of reporting to any Consumers Energy Service Center every Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday with home office flexibility on Wednesday and Friday.


General Summary of Job Responsibilities
The Senior Principle Security Architect is the subject matter expert for security architecture which includes strategy, roadmaps, planning, architecture and standards for all areas of security including cyber, physical and compliance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop security business cases in support of company budget and MPSC rate case processes. Serve on the rate case team and may be asked to be a witness
  • Communicate and conduct periodic briefings to individuals and leadership within Security and IT on new security trends, capabilities and technology to support future strategic planning
  • Create use cases, requirements and criteria for security product evaluations and requests for proposal
  • Accountable for developing, maintaining and rolling out security standards, architectural patterns and roadmaps
  • Evaluate new technology for potential implementation into the environment and performance of existing solutions for potential replacement
  • Other duties as assigned or may be necessary
  • Evaluate new technology projects outside of security to ensure security requirements are met

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships, collaborate and lead through influence
  • Ability to demonstrate high level of Integrity and build Trust
  • Strong communicator capable of leading meetings, presenting and driving consensus
  • Ability to deal with critical infrastructure security issues preferably relating to Utilities

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in IT or related field with10 years in IT or related field OR
  • Associates Degree in IT or related field with12 years in IT or related field OR
  • High School Diploma and 14 years in IT or related field.
