Join Epicor as a Principal Product Developer, providing expertise in developing new and existing products, services, and processes. In this role, you'll understand customer needs and translate them into technical solutions, while leading members of the Product Development teams. This position is integral to our Retail organization, contributing to innovative solutions that enhance the retail experience.

What you will be doing

  • Writing, refactoring, and testing new and existing applications and framework components to ensure high-quality software delivery.
  • Actively participating in designing and reviewing core functionality to enhance product performance and user experience.
  • Developing, analyzing, and maintaining tools that support and automate processes for hardware or software product releases, streamlining operations.
  • Continuously improving coding standards and providing recommendations to uphold best practices within the development team.
  • Proactively delivering work on time with excellent quality, ensuring alignment with project goals and customer expectations.

What you will likely bring

  • Proficiency in Python 3.x, Django, Django REST Framework, and Angular, enabling the development of robust and scalable applications.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases, including creating database views and triggers to manage data effectively.
  • Ability to learn new technologies and industries quickly, adapting to evolving project requirements.
  • Attention to detail and strong mentorship skills to guide and develop team members.
  • Complex problem-solving and analytical thinking skills to address technical challenges effectively.

What could set you apart

  • Experience with Python coroutines, tasks, and Asynchronous I/O (Asyncio) to enhance application performance.
  • Background in retail or supply chain software, providing valuable insights into industry-specific challenges and solutions.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience with demonstrated success and knowledge in product development.
  • 4+ years of specialized or industry experience, particularly in retail or related sectors.
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Engineering related field.

Range:

Minimum: $100,000.00 USD Maximum: $250,000.00 USD
