Position Highlights

The newly established Systems Immunology laboratory at the University of Arizona, led by Dr. Prabhu Arunachalam, is seeking a motivated Postdoctoral Research Associate. This position offers an exceptional opportunity to work with a new investigator who is not only dedicated to pursuing impactful research but also to mentoring trainees. The laboratory investigates the impact of aging with chronic infectious diseases using state-of-the-art multiomic approaches. The successful candidate will be a part of a highly collaborative team dedicated to learning fundamental immunology through systems approaches to improve human health. You will have the opportunity to use cutting-edge technologies, engage in multidisciplinary collaborations and drive innovation in the field.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Lead independent research investigating the immunology of chronic HIV infection and aging.
  • Develop and implement experimental and analyses protocols.
  • Disseminate findings through high-impact publications and presentations at international conferences.
  • Collaborate with a network of esteemed scientists and clinicians.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a part of the team.
  • Excellent communication skills.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Ph.D. in Immunology, Molecular Biology, Bioinformatics, or a related field.
  • Experience in immunological techniques, high-dimensional cytometry, transcriptomics and/or animal research.
Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong publication record indicating high-quality research.
  • Experience with single-cell technologies, large data analysis using computational approaches will be an asset.
