POSITION SUMMARY:

Performs a variety of operations to assemble precision electro-pneumatic products or subassemblies where methods and sequence of assembly are clearly written and described.

Strives to achieve 100% on time shipments to customers.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. *Build and test valves using various common hand tools and power assisted assembly tools.
  2. *Follow all manufacturing procedures pertaining to 3P manufacturing and standard work.
  3. *Troubleshoot and rework valves as needed.
  4. Uses precision measuring instruments to ensure conformance to specified tolerances
  5. *Operate automatic and semi-automatic assembly equipment.
  6. *Must interpret bills of materials and drawing in order to properly assemble various products.
  7. Participate in overtime as required to meet customer demands.
  8. Performs all subassembly operations as directed by Supervisor
  9. Consistently maintain product flow.
  10. Participate in mandatory stretch breaks.
  11. Ability to consistently meet quality standards
  12. Share input in weekly PDCA meetings
  13. Consistently meets absenteeism/tardiness performance standards
  14. Maintains a positive and professional attitude at all times
  15. All other duties as assigned by supervisor.
  16. Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience:

  1. High School or equivalent

Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities:

  1. Good eye/hand coordination
  2. Must have adequate knowledge of math required to complete daily/weekly time sheet/DBH/tracking sheet
  3. Some heavy lifting may be required as necessary
  4. Ability to speak and write English is required for all work related matters
  5. Ability to follow written/verbal instructions and directions
  6. Ability to accept and foster change is essential.
  7. Demonstration of good interpersonal skills to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships is required

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT

  1. Must be able to alternate between sitting or standing workstations for extended periods of time. Regularly required to sit, stand, bend and reach.
  2. Light physical effort equal to frequent lifting or moving of lightweight materials.
  3. Some heavy lifting may be required as necessary
  4. May work at different workstations as production needs require or shifts from one station to another during the assembly process
  5. The noise level of the work environment is within standards.
  6. Use of Safety Glasses is required
  7. Use of gloves in some production areas as required.
  8. Ear protection is available as necessary.
