POSITION SUMMARY:
Performs a variety of operations to assemble precision electro-pneumatic products or subassemblies where methods and sequence of assembly are clearly written and described.
Strives to achieve 100% on time shipments to customers.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- *Build and test valves using various common hand tools and power assisted assembly tools.
- *Follow all manufacturing procedures pertaining to 3P manufacturing and standard work.
- *Troubleshoot and rework valves as needed.
- Uses precision measuring instruments to ensure conformance to specified tolerances
- *Operate automatic and semi-automatic assembly equipment.
- *Must interpret bills of materials and drawing in order to properly assemble various products.
- Participate in overtime as required to meet customer demands.
- Performs all subassembly operations as directed by Supervisor
- Consistently maintain product flow.
- Participate in mandatory stretch breaks.
- Ability to consistently meet quality standards
- Share input in weekly PDCA meetings
- Consistently meets absenteeism/tardiness performance standards
- Maintains a positive and professional attitude at all times
- All other duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience:
- High School or equivalent
Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities:
- Good eye/hand coordination
- Must have adequate knowledge of math required to complete daily/weekly time sheet/DBH/tracking sheet
- Some heavy lifting may be required as necessary
- Ability to speak and write English is required for all work related matters
- Ability to follow written/verbal instructions and directions
- Ability to accept and foster change is essential.
- Demonstration of good interpersonal skills to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships is required
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Must be able to alternate between sitting or standing workstations for extended periods of time. Regularly required to sit, stand, bend and reach.
- Light physical effort equal to frequent lifting or moving of lightweight materials.
- Some heavy lifting may be required as necessary
- May work at different workstations as production needs require or shifts from one station to another during the assembly process
- The noise level of the work environment is within standards.
- Use of Safety Glasses is required
- Use of gloves in some production areas as required.
- Ear protection is available as necessary.
