Medical Billing - Revenue Cycle - Claim Prep & File - Government - Prior Authorization

Location: Remote or On-Site

Hourly Pay: $16

This position is bonus eligible

Work Schedule: Full-Time, 40 hrs/wk, Training M-F 8am-5pm CST, Post-Training M-F 7am-7pm CST (flex)

JOB SUMMARY

The Medical Billing - Revenue Cycle - Claim Prep & File - Government - Prior Authorization team works with payors via phone communications and portals to obtain prior authorizations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES

  • Provide Excellent Customer Service.
  • Work to achieve team and departmental goals.
  • Determine payor requirements relative to Prior Authorization.
  • Communicate effectively with payors in both written and verbal communication.
  • Demonstrate strong computer skills and ability to navigate various payor portals.
  • Work in a fast paced, goal centric environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Experience:

  • Minimum of one (1) year in medical billing
  • Minimum 6 months experience working with Government payors, specifically Medicare and Medicaid
  • Ability to multitask and work independently or as an active member of a team
  • Knowledge and experience of computers and related technology, at an intermediate level
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, Office 365
  • Must have effective independent time management skills

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience working with prior authorizations

Preferred Education:

  • High school diploma
  • GED
  • Or significant, relevant work experience
