Summary

The MIL Corporation seeks a Project Manager (Financial Analysis, Sr. Manager) to support a government client in the Washington, DC area. The Project Manager will lead a team supporting agency with financial statement audit provided by client (PBC) deliverables and financial reporting data calls.

This position currently requires on-site support. Telework may be available based on client approval. Remote work is not authorized for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day manager of engagement. Primary interface between government and contractor team.

  • Ensure review of all audit PBC requests and supporting documentation.

  • Support PBC training and communications.

  • Work with client to track, escalate, review and return responses to auditor issues.

  • Maintain and deliver auditor issued notices of findings and recommendations (NFR) to appropriate client recipients. Maintain documentation for all final NFRs.

  • Support NFR training and communications.

  • Support audit progress meetings and written report reviews.

  • Manage audit coordination tools and sites. Lead team in enhancing and maintaining audit coordination tools. Provide training on audit coordination tools.

  • Support a robust quality control program.

  • Maintain and revise standard operating procedures (SOP) guides, templates, aids business rules and training guides.

  • Coordinate and track data calls and deliverables in support of financial reporting.

Required Qualifications

  • 9+ years of experience supporting engagements in business consulting, process improvement, strategy, financial management, or a related field, including four years of experience managing similar audit support projects.

  • Experience in managing large, complex engagements in support of State or Federal Government agencies or large, complex companies.

  • Experience with managing efforts such as auditing federal agencies financial statements or performing audit readiness work in the Department of Homeland Security or Federal Government as a government employee or contractor directly in support of an audit response or readiness task.

  • Must have the ability to communicate technical as well as non-technical information clearly, both orally and in writing

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification

  • US Citizenship

Desired Qualifications

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM)

Education

BA/BS degree in Accounting, Business Management or other related fields

Salary at MIL is determined based on factors such as qualifications, experience, and contractual limitations. For this position, the projected compensation range is $140,000 - $195,000 per year.
