Embry-Riddle is now hiring an entry-level Front Desk Receptionist for International Student and Scholar Services at the Daytona Beach campus. Responsibilities include:

  • Answer main phone and direct calls accordingly. Greet and direct people to the correct department as they enter the International Student Programs and Diversity and Inclusion Suite.
  • Coordinate with International Student Advisor's and email students when the SSN and DMV letters are ready for pick up.
  • Monitor, place a hold on student records, and email students letting them know their passport is about to expire. Enter the updated passport information, sending to imaging, and removing the hold.
  • Assist the International Student Advisor's with updating student addresses and phone numbers in Fall and Spring terms.
  • Assist the International Student Advisor's in being the first point of contact for our new international students before arriving on campus.
  • Create flyer's for events and announcements for international students for the ISSS office. Monitor, post events, and information on social media.
  • Schedule the conference rooms in the Center for International Education for office staff.
  • Be the main point of contact to send all documents to imaging.
  • Assist in other duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • High School (or GED) level ability in grammar, spelling, basic composition, and math.
  • Superior organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to work efficiently and with extreme attention to detail with minimal supervision in a fast paced environment.
  • Sensitivity to the unique needs and cultural differences of international students and scholars, and the ability to work in a cross-cultural environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree.
  • Related work experience in student support.
  • Knowledge of F1 and J1 visa types.
