Your Opportunity: Taylor Communications, a Taylor Corporation company, is seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist in Jeffersonville, IN, to assist in maintaining a GMP compliant facility in line with customer and regulatory expectations. The position is responsible for maintaining a presence on the warehouse floor, records, certifications, work instructions, and all other items needed to support a FDA registered food facility. Your Shift: * 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM Monday - Friday (overlap between shifts) Your Responsibilities: * Maintain a presence on the warehouse floor to ensure quality and food safety aspects of the receiving, picking, shipping, and kitting processes are maintained. * Audit kits to ensure accuracy and traceability are maintained. * Routinely audit processes for quality and food safety * Assist in investigating and collecting information on complaints and issues necessary to perform a root cause analysis * Ensure corrective actions are properly implemented by the operations team * Assist in ensuring Quality Management System (QMS) records are up to date. * Coordinate with Safety Manager to ensure all hazardous or toxic materials are stored and used in accordance with SQF requirements. * Coordinate with management and the frontline to ensure all training programs are up-to-date and that training records are maintained. * Assist in ensuring we are maintaining a hygienic working environment, in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices and customer expectations. * Assist in developing new, and maintaining existing, SOPs and processes * Be the substitute SQF practitioner. * Take proper action for any food safety issues identified. * Ensure a safe work environment * Other assigned duties as required. You Must Have: * H.S. Diploma or equivalent * Maintain any required certifications or skills related to FDA and customer expectations. * Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite * Customer focus and ability to work directly with customer to collaborate as needed. * Ability to communicate effectively in the English language (verbal and written) * Strong process and organizational skills * Ability to work overtime as needed * Ability to work both as a team member and independently * Flexibility to perform a variety of job assignments. * Complete all necessary training regiments to achieve any needed level of certifications. * Strong team-oriented About Taylor Corporation Taylor Corporation including all partners and affiliates is an Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled. |
