About this opportunity: To scale our operations and meet the demands of our customers, the Ericsson US 5G Smart Factory is hiring additional Technical Trainers. The Technical Trainer will help us produce some of the most sophisticated radios and basebands on the planet by training and developing operators; creating and maintaining training plans and materials; and serving as a key facilitator of functional expertise, cross-functional communication, and safety. The chosen candidate must be comfortable with both high-volume, fast-paced operations, and with training others. What you will do:
- Provide training to warehouse operators and ongoing coaching for continuous process improvement.
- Accelerate time-to-competence for the factory's operational workforce.
- Provide ongoing development support to ensure a problem-solving mindset in day-to-day operations.
- Evaluate learning impact using both knowledge and functional performance assessments.
- Maintain comprehensive tracking of completed and required training.
- Partner with Operations leadership and others to identify training needs and develop solutions within warehouse.
- Define readiness targets for critical training that align with business strategy and develop training plans to ensure operators meet those targets and business metrics.
- Partner with SMEs tovalidate skill and expertise of operational employees.
- Ensure that programs and processes are developed, assessed, communicated, and administered in compliance with best practices, including ISO competence management and Ericsson Environmental Health & Occupational Safety standards.
- Maintain training plans, content accuracy, and reporting through the Learning Management System.
- Coordinate and communicate training schedule with stakeholders, Operations leadership, production planners, and the training team.
- Maintain training equipment, including training laptops and any tools or equipment.
- Serve as voice-of-customer (operator) in the review process for work instructions to ensure controlled documentation supports optimal end user function.
- Maintain expert knowledge of methods, techniques, parts, tools, and materials used in warehouse
- Drive operator safety and compliance readiness.
- Facilitate cross-functional communication between departments.
- Provide expert assistance to production teams as needed.
The skills you bring:
- High school diploma
- Strong facilitation and interpersonal communication skills, including verbal and written.
- Ability to lead, coach, and motivate others
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills.
- Able to read and interpret equipment and operational work instructions and process maps.
- Comfort with office and learning technologies, including Microsoft applications and Learning Management System tasks.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, high-tech manufacturing environment, and periodically work flexible shift hours when required
- Extensive experience in warehouse, presenting technical information and skills for specialization.
- Confidence and professionalism working in a high-visibility training role.
- Experience with environmental and safety compliance, ISO competence management, and training governance requirements.
- Ability to work in cross-functional groups from diverse technical and experience backgrounds.
- Familiarity with objective-based training theory and functional assessment settings.
